It’s almost that special day of the year, the day we show a little extra appreciation and love to our momma. The one who has been your biggest supporter, and who has been through every high and low in life alongside you. Her caring heart and loving soul has made you a changemaker in this world, and we know you can’t wait to give back to her a little bit for all that she has done. As part of our Feya Family, we want to introduce you to our moms, the amazing women who have been inspiring us our whole lives!

Sarah’s Mom (Chief Candle Lady) Sue Ogg

What is  your favorite Feya scent?

Harvest Cedar. I love earthy, musky smells and that is what Harvest Cedar reminds me of.

What makes you proud to be a mom?

That my daughter created a company that gives back and let’s her customers be involved in the giving!

What is your funniest mom experience?

We played a lot of games when you were little. One of our favorites was Guesstures. One day you acted out a word by smiling broadly and pointing with both hands to the top of your head. We guessed hair, head, brain, pony tail, all to no avail. When our time was up you looked at us with disgust and said “Intelligence!”. We laughed and remind you frequently of your “intelligence!”

I advocate for educators, students and parents; I love to travel and make friends wherever I go; I am active in my community and my church I also support the Nashville Symphony, the Dementia Society and the Rodan + Fields Prescription for Change.

What is one piece of advice you would give me/your kid?

Take care of yourself and your family just as much as you take care of others.

It makes me proud that my kids have grown to believe in themselves, succeed, have a strong worth ethic and are happy and thoughtful people.

What is your funniest mom experience?

My funniest experience (now looking back) is my middle daughter throwing up all over a fancy restaurant and trying to escape!

How do you make an impact in the world? (outside of buying feya)

I try to make an impact in the world with a daily practice of lifting others up, supporting them, and giving them the tools to succeed.

What is one piece of advice you would give me?

Live in the moment,  people who live in the past are full of worry and those who live in the future are anxious. All we have is now.

Regen’s Mom (Event Maestro) Mindy

Caribbean Salsa because it is fruity but also subtle and not overpowering.

What makes your proud to be a mom?

Watching my kids find something they are passionate about. An example is my daughter growing up and getting involved with a company that gives back.

What is your funniest mom experience?

Any time we would ask Regen to do something such as cleaning her bedroom, she would put her hands behind her back and say “I don’t have any hands, I can’t, I don’t have any hands!” On repeat.

How do you make an impact in the world?

Being kind and compassionate. I’m a nurse and chose to become a nurse to help people when they are feeling the most vulnerable.

What is one piece of advice you would give me?

Choose joy and make your own happiness. The grass is never greener on the other side of the fence. To have a happy life keep your own grass maintained.

Be kind to everyone and don’t sweat the small stuff

What is your favorite way to make an impact in the world?

Doing community service projects with my church- yard work, painting, landscaping, moving furniture or cleaning.

What is one piece of advice you would give your kids?

No one can read your mind. You have to say what you’re thinking or someone may assume the opposite.
